Karate-Ka
Harvesting Earth Farm
We are excited
about this new endeavor! We plan to
grow organic produce on the farm and in
our greenhouse. This project started in
2006 when we acquired the property where
the greenhouse will sit. Since then
community champion volunteers have
helped clear the land of debris and
trees and even shared in the experience
of splitting the wood! This past winter
gave us the opportunity to tweak our
strategic plan and attend greenhouse
workshops and seminars. Our first
projects this spring will include soil
testing and preparing the soil for the
greenhouse site.We plan to have a "roof
raising" party at the site when we
assemble the greenhouse. Date to be
announced!
Our hope is to
encourage and provide our students and
community the opportunity to learn about
growing and eating healthy whole
foods. Our society is suffering from a
number of ailments that can be prevented
by eating whole foods and exercising.
Let's learn to do a better job of taking
care of ourselves, families and
communities. We look forward to sharing
this adventure with you.

know how to get your share of
organic locally grown produce. See you
